This beautiful 100-percent top grain leather recliner features a double dying process in which some of the second color dye is hand rubbed off to subtly reveal the dye beneath that gives it an 'old world' look and feel, a sophisticated piece of furniture that will add to any room decor. This enduring style with tufted back and accent nail head trim will provide comfort and pride of ownership for years to come. The feather/down wrapped seat cushion with pocketed coils will provide a more comfortable seat and longer life. The back cushions are filled with fiber blown into pocketed channels to prevent settling and preserve the look and feel of your chair. The seat box is made of hardwood for durability. The under carriage of the recliner is covered in a non-woven material to conceal all wood services and give that quality finished look.

New Creations Leather chair

I ordered this chair with a bit of trepidation. Amazon and furniture just seemed like a gamble. But, I liked the looks of the chair and I did a great deal of research on this chair and the price could not be beat. I found one other to chose from in a similar design from a different mfg. But, this still seemed like a great chair for a great price. The chair arrived on time, and the delivery company was prompt, helpful and considerate when it arrived in there warehouse. It took a few days to get a lift truck to deliver it, but it got in here in fine shape. The add said "some assembly required" and there was a bit, but overall it was simple to put together. The quality of the chair is very good, not excellent, that is why I took one star away. There were a few scratches on the leather, but they were very minor. The legs were quite cheap and did not screw in straight. They are a little bent even when screwed in tight. The foot rest is not equally set when down. There is a slightly bigger gap on one side. I recieved a call from New Creations asking my opinion and when I told him of my few miror concerns, his reply was, "I am sure you will love the chair". I was hoping he might at least provide a color pen to match the scratches but he did not. He seemed only interested in marketing questions. "How did I find the chair, what buttons did I push to get to it to it, etc". However, overall, I was well pleased and I would consider buying furniture from Amazon again, and New Creations. However, pictures are never the same as actually sitting in it first. Know what you want, do your research first, and then buy if you are convinced it is a good deal and what you want. Amazon has quick, fair and no hastle returns if you really feel disatisfied.

Comfort in a recliner

After having several recliners over the years, I finally got a recliner that is both comfortable and well made. You do not have a lever to tilt the recliner back in a more relaxed position, all you do is just push back and the chair goes into a mid position, and if you so desire you just push further back and you are totally reclined. The back of the recliner also is adjustable for height if you desire. I would recommend this recliner, and I would also buy it again.

These are top of the line chairs. They are tufted, wing back, brass nail embossed, and friction recliners. That'a all the the top end features you'd expect from this class of chair. The chair is 100% top grain leather, which is the best cut of leather (the tough external surface of the cow) which will last the longest and wear the best. The leather is dyed and then dyed a second time and wiped to give the leather that marbled look, another expensive process. Most chairs I've looked at are leather where you sit and vinyl, polyester, or leather 'match' everywhere else....not these chairs. At any other local retailer, Thomasville, Ethan Allen, Gorman's, this chair would run easily $3000-$5000, which is to say that this is a definite deal for the price given the features advertised. The mechanism is a bit tough to recline at first, but it takes a few dozen up/down sequences to break it in a bit. The only down side is this furniture from New Creations is made in China, then again, if it's under $10k, what furniture isn't made in China. Will check back in a year or so and see how these chairs actually wear over time.
